Autumn Cabin Trip 2019

Autumn Cabin Trip 2019

A beloved tradition in CCWA, 25 members trekked to Hocking Hills State Park for our annual Cabin Trip over fall break. Cabin Trip is one of the most popular membership events of the year, and the weekend was full of fun, friendship, and fall foliage. From exploring the woods around the cabin to hiking the trail near Old Man’s Cave, members enjoyed the crisp October weather while spending time outdoors with both old and new friends.

Some highlights of the trip included baking cookies in the kitchen, stargazing, attempting ballet while hiking, and enjoying the amenities of the cabin. Members also enjoyed just taking some much-needed time to relax. Special thanks to Yazan Anani for leading us in sing-a-longs around the bonfire and playing all of our requests, even acoustic “Sicko Mode.” Additionally, a huge thank you goes out to Lizzie Lewandowski, Emily Needham, Ashley Morrill, and all of the lovely people who helped with the food.

One of my favorite parts of Cabin Trip is getting to see all of the friendships that form on it, and this cabin trip will certainly be one I will never forget. If you were not able to make it to this cabin trip, fear not! We have another one over spring break, and I hope to see you all there!
