THE FALL OF THE OTTOMAN EMPIRE

ottoman empire.jpg

In the Joint Crisis Committee: Fall of the Ottoman Empire, delegates debated issues, drafted resolutions, and plotted both with and against each other to alter the course of the Ottoman Empire forever. On one side of the JCC was the newly formed Balkan League, and on the other was the Ottoman League, and delegates had to respond to crises created in both sides of the committee, including assassination attempts, Ottoman elections, and more. The committee ended with a war between the Balkans and the Ottomans, and the two sides of the committee came together in one room to fight it out with a complex map-based war game designed single-handedly by Crisis Director and graduating Senior, Noah Rudnick. The committee generated plenty of lively debate, misspelled memes, and most importantly, diplomacy- all coming together to make for an exciting weekend.
